Altur is established in Türkiye and is subject to Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). Where we process the data of individuals located in the European Economic Area — for example partner organisations contacting us about a cooperation project — we also apply the standards of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
2. Data minimisation is the default
We do not collect personal data unless you actively submit a form. Specifically, this site:
- uses no advertising networks, tracking pixels or marketing tags;
- uses no Google Analytics or comparable third-party analytics;
- embeds no social media widgets, videos or maps;
- serves all web fonts from our own server — no request is made to Google Fonts, so your IP address is not disclosed to a third party;
- sets no cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
3. What we process
Through the contact, quotation and demonstration request forms:
- Identity data: first name, last name
- Contact data: e-mail address, telephone number
- Professional data: organisation, position
- Request content: subject, type of work, timeline, budget range, area of interest, preferred date and the free-text message you write
- Security data: the IP address you submit from, and the submission timestamp
We do not request special categories of personal data. Please do not include health, biometric, political, religious or similar sensitive information in the free-text fields.
4. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | GDPR Art. 6 | KVKK Art. 5 |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and corresponding with you | 6(1)(a) consent | 5/1 explicit consent |
| Pre-contractual discussions and preparing a quotation | 6(1)(b) steps prior to a contract | 5/2-c directly related to a contract |
| Assessing a possible EU project partnership | 6(1)(b) / 6(1)(f) | 5/2-c / 5/2-f |
| Preventing abuse of the form and securing the site | 6(1)(f) legitimate interests | 5/2-f legitimate interest |
| Meeting statutory retention and reporting obligations | 6(1)(c) legal obligation | 5/2-ç legal obligation |
5. Recipients
Form submissions are delivered as e-mail to our corporate mailbox and are not sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes. Limited disclosure may occur to:
- our hosting and e-mail provider, acting as a processor on our instructions;
- competent public authorities, where disclosure is required by law;
- our legal and financial advisers, under a duty of confidentiality, in the event of a dispute or statutory obligation.
6. International transfers
Altur is established in Türkiye. If you are located in the EEA, corresponding with us means your data is processed in Türkiye, which is a third country under the GDPR and is not covered by an adequacy decision. Where required, we rely on Article 49(1)(b) GDPR — transfer necessary for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request — or on your explicit consent under Article 49(1)(a), which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting a form. For an ongoing project partnership, transfers are governed by the data protection provisions of the relevant grant and partnership agreements.
7. Retention
- Enquiries that do not lead further: 12 months from our reply
- Correspondence leading to a contract or partnership: 10 years from the end of the relationship (Turkish Commercial Code Art. 82; Turkish Code of Obligations Art. 146)
- IP address and submission logs: 6 months
After these periods the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under KVKK Article 11 and, where applicable, GDPR Articles 15–22 you may request:
- confirmation of whether your data is processed, and access to it;
- information on the purposes of processing and the recipients;
- rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erasure or destruction of your data;
- notification of rectification or erasure to recipients of the data;
- restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability;
- to object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- to object to a decision produced solely by automated analysis that adversely affects you;
- compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
9. How to exercise your rights
Write to info@altursoftware.com or to the postal address above, including information sufficient to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days (KVKK) and without undue delay and in any event within one month for GDPR requests.
If you are not satisfied you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you are in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
- The site and its forms are served over HTTPS.
- Forms use an invisible honeypot field and a per-IP submission limit against automated abuse.
- Access to the corporate mailbox is restricted to authorised staff.
- Server and application components are kept up to date.
11. Changes
This notice may be updated. The current version is always published on this page and the effective date is stated in the heading.
